The birth and history of Bebe Swan
Raising a child is a joyful and rewarding journey, but it also brings many challenges for parents. As a mother of two children, one year apart, I used a baby carrier for many years and suffered from shoulder and back pain. I tried many baby carriers that were said to be highly functional, but in the end, my shoulder pain got worse and I even suffered from a herniated disc.
Every time my child asked to be held, I was in so much pain that I couldn't hold him. But then, in the fall of 2019, a day I spent with my family in Namsan became a turning point that changed my life and my brand.
Eureka moment – the birth of the vest baby carrier
On the day we went to ride the Namsan cable car, we left the big baby carrier at home, which was hurting our shoulders and back. Our second son had just started walking, so he kept falling over and my husband had to hold him every time we moved, which left him covered in sweat. Seeing that, I keenly felt how much better it would have been if we had used a more compact baby carrier, so that the burden on our shoulders and back wouldn't have been so great.
Afterwards, I headed to a restaurant for lunch, where the portable booster I had brought with me proved extremely useful. Then, a thought suddenly occurred to me:
"What if a booster could be transformed into a baby carrier? What if your shoulders and back didn't hurt even when you used it for a long time? How great would it be if there was a baby carrier that allowed you to easily hold your baby by yourself?"
At that moment, I had a eureka moment and immediately began using my design expertise to start conceptualizing the product.
Three criteria – BebeSwan development concept
The BebeSwan vest-type baby carrier was developed based on the following three criteria:
- Minimize strain on your shoulders and back.
- Easy to put on by one person.
- It can also be used as a chair booster.

We carefully selected fabrics and safe materials suitable for the delicate skin of babies, drew patterns by hand, and spent countless nights sewing samples. After 52 rounds of sample production and upgrades, we were determined not to tolerate any flaws, and finally completed a smart and comfortable vest-type baby carrier.
Our Future – For Every Family
I didn't just develop a product, I created BebeSwan for all mothers and families. Do your shoulders and back hurt from using a baby carrier too often?
